Yep, We Found A House!

It’s got a fairy-sized bubbling brook, light-drenched rooms and an office for Daddypotamus that is faaaaaaar away from command central (aka the kitchen). Things are a bit hectic with moving right now, but as soon as we get settled I’ll give you a mini-tour, okay? So excited to put all your fabulous advice to work!

P.S. If you are in the Franklin area and want in on this kind of dinner please leave a comment below!

    Congratulations! Thrilled for you :)

    • Heather says:

Thank you, Esther! We miss our Texas friends but not the heat, especially while pregnant. Keep cool and make sure send photos when baby V is born, okay?

  2. A. B. says:

Had to say this – your daughter has such a beautiful palate (-:

  3. Jennifer says:

    YAY!!!! congrats!

    • Heather says:

Thank you, Jennifer! There is a spare bedroom/bathroom next to Daniel’s office that we can’t really let the kids use (it needs to be quiet during the daytime) so it makes a perfect guest area. Come visit anytime!

Yay! We’re in Franklin too- it’s such a fun little place! You’re going to love it! Tons of local organic farms and some cow shares and all that jazz. I definitely want to come to your dinner! Now that we have a baby, I was thinking of trying to organize a healhty trick-or-treat…

    • Heather says:

Hi Ashley, we’d love to have you! Adding your email to my list of local mamas to invite!

      • Ashley says:

I just have to add, I can’t wait to meet some more like-minded people when it comes to nutrition. My baby is only 10 months old and I’m already being made out to be a bad guy for not feeding him junk food. I can only imagine how much worse it’s going to get as he gets older. So crazy!

  5. Kirsten says:

Woohoo!!! Can’t wait to see your little tour! I love Franklin…we visited there on vacation years ago. :)

    • Heather says:

You have flight passes, right? Come visit again when baby gets a little older! (I’m serious, email me and we’ll talk details!)

  6. Megan Alba says:

    YAY! Sounds absolutely dreamy.

Is Daddypotamus working from home? Exciting times for y’all!

    • Heather says:

YES!!! Part of the reason we moved to Tennessee is that he now works from home . . . we are officially location independent! Yayayayay!

  7. Kristi says:

We live in Franklin and love it! If you haven’t connected with a homeschool co-op here yet, let me know. I’m assistant coordinator to a great one in Franklin. I’d be happy to pass on the details if you’re interested.

    • Heather says:

Yes, Kristi, I’m interested! It’s one of the first things on my “to do” list when we arrive! Emailing you now :)

  8. Genevieve Mama Natural says:

Congrats Heather! Can’t wait to see pics! I hope to come down in September to visit my brother. We have to meet up!

  9. Abbey Byrd says:

AHH! It sounds beautiful! Congratulations, that’s definitely something to celebrate! <3

  10. Melody says:

Glad to see you’ve found a house! So exciting! We’re still looking for one in the Spring Hill area but I’m sure we’ll find something soon. Oh, and I’m interested in the dinner – I’m not a mom yet but I’d love to meet you!

  11. Ashley says:

    Hi Heather!

I just recently found your blog and was delighted by all of the wonderful information you have on here (and how like-minded we are!) What’s even more exciting is that we live in Franklin, too! My husband and I both grew up here, went away to college, got married, and now we are living back here and we are blessed to have a 1 year old daughter and now another baby on the way :) Just wanted to drop a note to say thank you for all of your encouragement and information and also to ask if you know of good play-groups or similar things in the area for your kiddos? Thanks!

  12. Heidi says:

Yay on your move! I’m in Spring Hill, TN just south of Franklin (about to move to the Arrington/Smyrna area). Do you have an informational email list for those of us that are your locals?? I homeschool my 16, 14 and 8 year olds and Middle Tennessee is a great place to do it!

  13. Christine says:

I’d love info on the Franklin homeschool co-op! And if you’re doing an amazing harvest dinner this year!
