Daddy. Such a simple word, yet so mysterious to me for over 25 years. I remember shuddering when Valentine’s Day came around and those “Daddy-Daughter” dances popped up everywhere. Not only did I not get what it was all about, I thought it was downright creepy. All that intimacy gave me the heebie jeebies.
