As most of you know, we’ve had a vision for the next phase for a while now. It involves a bigger house on some land, and becoming a community hub where families come together to eat, swap recipes and health tips, and like-minded people call on the name of the Lord in worship and prayer.
Farm Fresh Wishes and Chicken Feather Dreams
Daniel sent me this chicken coop photo to drool over today. I added it to my bookmark folder which is wistfully titled after the street my dream house is on. Photo credit: Treehugger
Stuck
This blog is supposed to be about our family’s adventure in urban farming. It’s meant to entertain by letting us make fools of ourselves as we milk a goat for the first time and try to figure out which of our baby chicks are girls and which are boys. It’s supposed to make you think …
Gigipotamus: It Takes a Village
In our culture, it seems you just don’t live with your relatives unless there’s no other option, and you have to look long and hard to find another option before you get a pass. So why has our family embraced such an unfashionable lifestyle? What do I get out of selling my house and giving …

Originally, we were going to start a third blog for all our family stories. I’d already condensed my DanielthePoet.com blog back into DanielDessinger.com, and Heather and I both sort of …
Letter I found on the couch

House Hunting
Daniel and I are looking for a house. Actually Daniel, my mom and I are looking for a house. This is one we looked at today in Keller. It’s not going to work, but I loved the exterior and the property. Our wish list is going to be hard to meet, but we have high …
