The Mommypotamus

This morning Katie told me she wants to go to the “monkey store.” I think she means the zoo. We are going to buy a pass this year and wear those monkeys out!

I have an unexpectedly significant amount of time on my hands today. More than I have had in years. Unfortunately, this prime blogging opportunity is being thwarted by the fact that I don’t feel very chatty right now. No fear! I bring you random photo collages instead ; – )

Katie has only been sick three times in her life . . . twice since I became pregnant. Although I am still nursing her my milk supply has decreased and it seems to have made her more vulnerable to illness.

A couple of days ago Katie broke my heart. Actually she broke her front tooth, which almost broke my heart. Seriously, I vomited for hours during labor and REFUSED all pain meds because I didn’t want her exposed to anything that might harm her, but the moment she chips a tooth I’m all for [...]

Yesterday, Katie did a rain dance.

At just under 18 months Katie is already practicing her mommy skills. She hugs and rocks her “baby.”
