Eight minutes!

Feb. 3, 2010 2 Comments Posted under: Uncategorized

I have eight minutes to blog until bedtime. Yeppers, bedtime for this pregnant mommy of an active toddler is 9 pm. As I sit here, recapping my day over oatmeal cookies and raw milk, all I can say is thank you Jesus it’s bedtime!

One of the benefits of having a sick toddler for five days is that days and nights blur and time is basically eradicated. Gone are schedule naps, meals and bedtimes. Yesterday Katie fell asleep at 8am while I was holding her in the shower . . . four hours ahead of schedule. Anyway, the BENEFIT of this is that the week is almost half over. Yay! Last weekend was a bust so Daniel and I are going to get the grandparents to babysit this weekend and make up for it.

If anyone reads this (????), I am looking for a website to track my baby’s development. I can’t remember the name of the site I used when I was pregnant with Katie, but it gave a lot of detailed info. I like details ; – ) For now, though, I have this:

The Baby: 9 Weeks
Can you believe that your baby is now an inch long? That’s right, the average embryo is .9 – 1.2 inches long at this point. This week, you could now see your baby’s external ears. Feet and hands are continuing to form and the fingers and toes are starting to be visible. Baby is now moving about, although you probably won’t feel this movement until about your 16th week.”

And now, a random photo of what happened when Katie found mommy’s journal pen:

Goodnight everyone (aka you three people that read my blog!) Sorry for the weird font . . . don’t have time to fix it ; – )
