With three kids in sports (9,7,4), there are sooo many ‘kodak moments’ that get missed. I would love to have my own camera that can handle such action.
I dropped my camera awhile back and cracked the lens.

I would LOVE this camera, I love to take pictures and I have taken over 60,000 in the last 6 years completely wearing my current camera out to the point where it takes 60 seconds to even take a picture. I have been shopping around for a good camera, and this particular Canon model has NOT been on my radar, simply because it’s NOT in the budget! My camera is broken so I’ve been using my phone. Not the same so I would cherish this every day. Forever and ever.
I too use my cell phone for taking pictures. Often too late for the action, and always blurry!
LOL to the person who commented before me…my camera is being held together with a rubber band as well! The battery compartment is cracked and it is just a nightmare….I would LOVE to get my hands on a new camera!

We bought a new camera not too long ago following a recommendation from a photographer friend. I like the camera, don’t love it. My images are still fuzzy because there is no image stabilization and it doesn’t take the picture the instant I want it. I have 4 beautiful children and I want to capture all the amazing moments. Why do I want to win:
1. It took several years for my husband and I to get pregnant. Our children age 1 and I am 7 1/2 months pregnant are an absolute miracle and we want to capture every moment.
2. I have a camcorder but it is low quality old school and it takes terribly delayed shots and HORRIBLE video.

Oh how I would love this camera. We’ve been ‘in between homes’ with our now 15-month old son. We are currently living with my in-laws and just relying on our phones to take pics.
My photos of my baby are often so blurry that – well, let’s just say that your blurry ones look pretty good compared to mine.

I am embarassed to admit this but here it goes. I am sad to say I have TONS of pictures of my firstborn. I had a camera and tons of time to get my lil man to sit still so I could snap a shot. My family has had a difficult year…couple of years actually. We have been dealing with chronic illness, and not a lot of smiles for us lately. I haven’t had the desire to even own a camera. My husband, Wes, is actually the photographer in our family. He loves to capture the wonderful moments with our sweet 10-month old daughter Eden as well as document the adventures we have in life. I am an avid photographer, and at the moment have a Canon Power Shot SX100 IS (point and shoot) and it has served me very well.

My Mom had a nice Canon years ago. She died in 2009 from cancer, 2 months before my first child, my daughter was born, and she gave me the camera. It recorded some wonderful memories! My second child, my son, got a hold of it and wrecked it so I would LOVE to have another camera to capture their moments and memories with! I love my son but he won’t be going near any future cameras!

Oh my goodness, so many commentors. I take photos with my iphone which is a huge improvement from no photos at all, but isn’t really producing photos worth becoming keepsakes, if you know what I mean. This would be a wonder.

I would LOVE to win this – there are so many ways I could use it. Mostly, I love the idea of being able to capture THE moment, not the 5 seconds later.
We have only had crappy cameras for years now, and while we’ve been able to (with much luck) snap a few quality photos, most end up with some sort of blur, or a “missed-moment” because of delays with the shutter. My husband and I have been looking at this camera for awhile and we would LOVE it! We just haven’t been able to afford it yet. I have always loved photographs and taking pictures from a very young age. My grandmother bought me a 35mm when I was in elementary school and I went through rolls and rolls of film!
Over the years, I stopped taking as many pictures because I was morbidly obese and did not get out of the house much. In August of 2011, I decided to make a drastic change in my life. I have lost 170 pounds so far and I have taken up hiking as just one of the many physical activities I enjoy now. I had never hiked a day in my life prior to the summer of 2012 and last summer I hiked over 93 miles!!! I’ve gone through a few cameras and because my husband and I are saving for a down payment for our home, I am not able to purchase such a nice camera at this time. The camera I used last year (Kodak Easy Share Z980) to take hiking/adventure pictures has bit the dust. As spring approaches, I’m weary of telling my husband I need to replace the one I have….. I was lucky enough to get a Canon Rebel for my b’day last year
My dh had scraped up every extra cent so we could have quality pics of our first baby. We had it for 6 months, we recorded his first magical steps. When we took it with us to a local car show, someone stole it & all those memories right out of our stroller:( Devastating. My sis-in-law sent me this link & it would be wonderful to replace our loss.
I would just really like to have a camera so that I can take pictures and videos of my children. I love that this camera has both of those options.
I am just starting out in my own business as a health coach. My background is in culinary arts and part of my new program will be teaching families and individuals how to eat healthier. This camera would do wonders at capturing my recipes and experiments, not to mention chronicle my growing son and all his cuteness!

i would LOVE to win the canon – i received my dream camera (not cheap) several years ago for christmas. it worked great for a year and then something with the shutter broke the very next december, right before christmas. we sent it off to get it repaired (also not cheap). it then lasted another year before the same piece broke again. in december. while my husband and i were on a rare trip for our anniversary, and AGAIN, right before christmas. we couldn’t afford a new camera or to keep having it repaired…
This is an AWESOME giveaway. I have been looking and searching for the most affordable good quality DSLR camera to help me capture every moment of my sons life as he grows. So many times I’ve tried to take the perfect picture of him in action using my iPhone, which is hard to do with a 18 month old son. It’s always delayed and the moment is definitely missed! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win this camera!
