There’s no beating around the bush here so I’ll just say it. You rock. Whether it’s sharing birth stories or something as mundane as trying to figure out what to feed a picky toddler, you have brought me more joie de vivre this year than you could possibly know.
Thank you for leaving fabulous comments, sharing your favorite posts on Facebook, suggesting intriguing topics and not being afraid to challenge me when I’m wrong (Like “T’s” comment here). Your contributions are proof that this lil’ corner of the web is full of passionate, intelligent, hilarious, and caring women.
To those of you that kept the discussion alive while I was snuggling up with my new baby boy, THANK YOU.
Yes I’m talking to you Whittney (Miscarriage, The Shaping of a Mama), Tana (When Real Food and Real Life Collide), Mae (The Young and the Pregnant), Sarah (Searching For Your Swagger), Maureen (The Best Laid Plans), Dianthe (You’re Doing WHAT?!?!?), Kristine (My Kid Vs. Your Kid), Jennifer (The Great Decision: Sleep or Coffee?), Kaitlin (Last Week I Bought a Tomato),Lesley (Motherhood: The Good, The Bad & The Mercy), Julie, Crystal (Preconception Health), Elizabeth (The Transformative Cheese Quest) and Latisha (Kitchen Folk Medicine)!!!
Over the past few weeks I have been seriously contemplating if I have what it takes to keep up this blog. When my Facebook status updates started to contain phrases like “just realized I washed Micah’s new clothes with the TAGS and HANGERS still on” maybe you did, too! But thanks to a few well-timed comments and the encouragement of my family, I am happy to say that not only will this blog continue, I’ve got some surprises in the works that I think you will really like!
Thanks for spending 2010 with me. May your life be filled with bright blessings this new year!

Yay!! I would be so sad if you weren’t here anymore. Looking forward to reading your blog is one of my daily joys!! I really appreciate the time you put in for all of us.
Thanks, Tiffany! My computer makes a little ding when I get a new comment. It is on of MY daily joys!!!
Yay…God’s timing is perfect (even in the simple things)! I was just thinking the other day how glad I was to discover the Mommypotamus blog, and I hoped it was going away anytime soon.
thanks
Can you give me some names of health food stores for coconut oil? Next things on my list is homemade deodorant and homemade lotion.
Merry New Year
I didn’t know we were neighbors! Although if you still had your pink hair I most certainly would have recognized you if we happened to be at LFWC at the same time.
The Sunflower Shoppe in Grapevine, Whole Foods in Arlington or Sprouts in Keller all carry coconut oil. You don’t need to buy the extra virgin stuff. Expeller pressed will do just fine, but I would avoid anything extracted using solvents. I’m going to answer this question on yesterday’s post too just in case someone else wonders the same thing.
Oops! I forgot to mention The Health Hut in Hurst. It’s about 5 min from LFWC and although the selection is more limited they carry some really good stuff.
Just one more thing! Coconut oil is somewhat expensive, so I buy in bulk from Tropical Traditions (http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/faq.htm#What_are_the_differences_between_all_your_coconut_oils). I order when they run a special like free shipping (if you “Like” them on FB they post their specials there). LFWC sometimes does bulk orders and passes on the savings to their patients, so you might want to check when they are doing the next one.
I know you’re busy, but I would be bummed if I didn’t have your blog to read. I have beenso blessed by your research! We need to get together soon after the business of Christmas.
I would love that! In fact, I will probably be messaging you soon for a favor ; – )
Happy New Year! Looking forward to your updates in 2011 and figuring out and improving my own blog/website!! So glad you’ll be continuing with your blog. It’s been wonderful getting to know you this year!
don’t you dare leave me in the blogosphere without my Mommypotamus!! but i know how hard it is to blog when you’ve got little ones – but guess what, at least for me, every blog doesn’t have to be some well thought out, researched, informative post – sometimes just a funny story or conversation will do the trick!!
dianthe´s last [type] ..ouch
Ha! Love your “Wheels on the Bus Post.” Remind me of something going on around here. My mom took Katie to see “Babes in Toy Land” at the theater, which Katie somehow confused with “Annie.” To make things worse she thinks “Annie” is “Danny” and corrects me every time I say it wrong!
i like it
