Live Cooking Demonstration and Meetup This Thursday

Hey local yokels, it’s time to come out from behind the computer screen! There is a brand new birth center in Argyle that is more than just an alternative to hospital/home births. All About Babies Birth Center (website coming soon, check them out on Facebook) is a place for community, with a gorgeous kitchen and a staff whose expertise goes way beyond birth. They host organic cooking and gardening classes, cloth diapering/baby wearing demonstrations, movie nights and more!

Join us this Thursday at 6:30 pm for a fun gathering based on my Real Food For Busy Moms series.  I will be doing a free cooking demonstration featuring two quick, nourishing recipes. Come for a light meal and lots of fun!

This is a time to hang out with moms who are trying to make the transition to healthier living. If you’re local, I really hope you’ll come. I mean it.

No doubt your schedule is full and it’s short notice, but come. This will probably be my last night out for a long while and I would love to share it with you.

Directions:

The address is 801 West Front St – Argyle, TX 76226-1918

From 377, turn on Old Justin Road right across the street from the Argle post office. Cross the railroad tracks and turn right on West Front. It’s the blue house at the end of the block.

For more information, call 972-653-BABY (2229)

If you can make it please RSVP in the comment section below. I need to know roughly how much food to prepare!

I would love to join you, this sounds like so much fun and a great chance to see the new birth center! I can’t commit just yet, though, as I may have a previous commitment. If I can change it, I will join you!

Are kids welcome? I’d love to come just don’t know if I can leave the little ones home.

It’s part of my dream for the next house to have a kitchen big enough to invite moms over for individual cooking demonstrations, chit chat, and girl bonding. Our kids could entertain each other while we cook and it would be a blast. Sigh.

In this instance, with a group of women, we’re having to limit kids to nursing children 2 and under. They mostly entertain themselves and don’t require childcare while we talk. I’m not much of a multi-tasker, so I’m not confident in my ability to hold a train of thought with older kids around.

I would like to come also, but Max is my shadow so I second the “are kids welcome?”

I’d really like to come, but I’m nervous. I’m definitely not a healthy person, and know nothing really about being one. I’m also kind of shy, but I’d really like to meet you and see your demonstration. I will let you know by tomorrow if that is OK :) .

Please don’t be nervous about coming, Kimberly. This class is for YOU, and everyone that is in the same boat as you. I was there just a few years ago. All my photos are in storage or I would post one of the terrible acne I used to have. It was so embarrassing there were times I couldn’t bear to leave the house.

Real food helped heal my body. I feel more confident and more vibrant than I did in my early twenties. If you’re wanting to make a change don’t miss out. Everyone takes baby steps.
