So . . . I Wrote A Book

Okay, an eBook. And not even one with chapters because it’s a cookbook, so I’m not sure it really counts.

Either way, for the past eleven months I’ve been tinkering with recipes to complement the Daddypotamus” href=”” target=”_blank”>Standard Process Cleanse. And though our family is (awkward cough) doing another diet now I thought it would be a good idea to make my cookbook available to those who might be interested.

A “New You” Cleanse Giveaway!!!

If you’d like to win a copy of my very-good-despite-the-infomercial-cookbook, my friend and chiropractor Dr. Haggerton is hosting a cleanse giveaway worth $225 in products!!

Oh, and if you want to see a slideshow of what’s been going on in my kitchen check it out here. We’re still working on a logo and a few other tweaks, but hugs to Daddypotamus for helping me get this project launched!

Ready to Cleanse?

Feel free to order my recipe book here. For a limited time, you can get the Cleanse Guide for the reduced price of $19.95 (reg $24.95). Just to make your cleanse even tastier, if you purchase a copy soon I’ll throw in The Smoothie Guide for free! Mmmm.

p.s. the cleanse giveaway link does not work

  2. Carole says:

Yes, it definitely counts! Congrats!! : )

    • Heather says:

Thank you, Carole! I started my first novel when I was seven but this is the first book I’ve completed. Actually, that’s not true. I wrote one that was published for corporate use but BLECH! that was no fun. So this is the first FUN endeavor I’ve finished.

So how do we get to this little book if we don’t win? I want to do the cleanse soon regardless and would love this book

  4. Mary says:

I’m getting ready to start GAPS, and I’m just worndering.. would most of the recipes in here still by GAPS friendly?

    • Heather says:

Mary – Some definitely are . . . like the rosemary garlic beet chips, kale chips, soups and more. But the cleanse is more of a recovery diet which focuses on lots of raw produce with lean meats (for a short period of time). Therefore although many recipes are GAPS legal they wouldn’t play a central role in what you’re eating on a daily basis (GAPS focuses much more on protein, healthy fats and fermented foods). You can find a book of GAPS friendly recipes at

You did it! I can’t wait to order mine :)

  6. Way to go Heather! Big accomplishment… the ebook looks beautiful.

  7. Any chance this book will be in paper form???

    • Heather says:

I’d like to have it formatted for print in the future so that LFWC can keep copies in the office, but that depends on if there is enough demand. It is in PDF format, though, so it would be easy to print off a computer. :)

    • Heather says:

Hi Amy! I know we already connected on FB but I just wanted to say again I’m glad you stopped by and I hope you find all the info you’re looking for about GAPS!

  9. Amanda says:

I haven’t heard of this but I’d be interested. I want to do a cleanse (once I’m not pregnant and nursing) but don’t know how.

  10. Liz says:

Congratulations, Heather! I am so proud of you!
