Today’s Schedule: Snugwing & Sleep

on September 7 | in Motherhood | by | with 4 Comments

I’m not in labor.

If I didn’t write something today some of you might suspect that, so I just wanted to let you know ; – )

My firstborn, Katie, senses a change is coming. On this cool, rainy morning in Texas I am being repeatedly smothered in kisses and requests for “snuggwing.” Without realizing it she is giving me the most precious gift I could ask for right now. We are soaking each other in, filling our days with “I wuv you’s” and leisurely story times in bed.

The stress and strain of house showings and broken contracts feels worlds away. For now, we are an island. An island that promises to tweet an announcement when we’re sure Babypotamus is on the way.

Love it! Such a special time.

I was a little concerned that some people who are relatively new to the blog might think you were giving up on blogging with the drop-off of tip/insight-based articles lately. But not to worry, this is a special time in our lives where Mommypotamus is SUPPOSED to soak up the cuddling and affection and focus more on savoring the moment.

    Thanks for being so supportive.

The night before I went into the hospital with our 2nd, my son could definitely sense something. He never wanted to be held & rocked at night, but that night, he cried for hours until I rocked him.

Maybe it is getting closer! Good luck!
